About the Artist

At a young age she heard Nina Simone’s question, 'How can you be an artist and NOT reflect the times?’ Taking time to answer, she has held this response to be true, ‘An artist creates a reflection of the present to inspire a vision of the future’

Ta.Ma.R.A Belinda is a conceptual artist, crafts(wo)man, and healing guide developing a unique perspective towards a study in mathematical design and crown energy. Using skills cultivated in continuous research of functional design, spiritual philosophy, and cultural art, she uses multiple disciplines and techniques to develop a seamless integration between art and mental expansion.

Her mother’s observation of fashion's exploitations and limiting her daughter’s ability to wear and unconsciously promote brand names, motivated Ta.Ma.R.A to understand branding and the psychological impact of clothes. Her creative direction is inspired by her grandmother’s work with the crown as a milliner and hairstylist. She studied graphic design, fashion design and psychology at Savannah College of Art & Design, cultivating this unique perspective. She later became a certified yoga instructor in crown energy to deepen her understanding of the connection between the internal body, mental awareness and external portrayal.

In recent years, Ta.Ma.R.A Belinda has developed the brand Crown Inspired™ to utilize fashion as the medium for portraying the message of mental evolution, creatively encouraging others to heal, love, and elevate their crown.
